Does FlowNerves Work? The Evidence, Name by Name
Nobody can say yet whether FlowNerves works, because no study tested the capsule. Alpha lipoic acid has nerve trials in people with diabetes, and their results are mixed. The other five names have no nerve trial that fits this product. A fair test of the capsule has not been done.

Does FlowNerves work?
We do not know, and we found no evidence the seller does. The front says "NERVE SUPPORT*", a description of purpose, not a result. The seller also says plainly that it is not a neuropathy medicine.
- Bottle front“NERVE SUPPORT*”It names no condition and no result. No trial has tested FlowNerves, and the FTC says health claims generally need randomized human trials of the product itself. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance)
- Seller's materials“straightforward nutritional support for your nerves”A support phrase, not a finding. FDA allows structure and function wording only with the disclaimer and says it does not approve supplements first. (FDA, Structure/Function Claims)
- Seller's materials“the nerve endings in your hands, feet, and legs”Naming where symptoms are felt is not evidence about a capsule. Tingling and numbness in those places have many causes that a doctor can test, such as diabetes and low vitamin B12. (NINDS, Peripheral Neuropathy)
- Common ad claim“Repairs damaged nerves”No supplement is approved to repair nerves. Treatment depends on the cause, and a clinician decides it. (NINDS, Peripheral Neuropathy)
- Common ad claim“Clinically proven”No study of this capsule was found. A study of one ingredient, in a different amount, does not carry over to another product. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance)
- Common question“Is it FDA approved?”No supplement is. FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold and does not test them first. (FDA, FDA 101: Dietary Supplements)

What does research on single ingredients show?
Alpha lipoic acid is the main case. In people with diabetic neuropathy, a five-week trial improved symptom scores, a four-year trial missed its main goal, and a 2024 Cochrane review of longer trials found probably little or no effect at six months.(Ziegler 2006, SYDNEY 2 trial)(Ziegler 2011, NATHAN 1 trial)(Cochrane 2024, ALA for diabetic neuropathy) The label prints no amount to match against them.
| Name | Research found | Fit to this capsule |
|---|---|---|
| Alpha lipoic acid | Diabetes nerve trials, mixed | Amount unknown |
| L-carnitine | Trials used the acetyl form | Form unknown |
| Butcher's broom | Leg-vein studies | No nerve link |
| Magnesium, CoQ10, turmeric | General or other uses | No nerve trial for this product |
What would a fair test of the capsule look like?
The FTC says results for one product do not carry over to another.(FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance) A fair test would need:
- The finished capsule, not its parts.
- A placebo group and random assignment.
- Enough people, followed long enough.
- A measured outcome such as a foot exam or nerve test.
None of that exists for FlowNerves in anything we found.
How can you judge it yourself?
One person's feeling cannot separate the capsule from everything else. Symptoms rise and fall, and a doctor can test for causes such as diabetes and low vitamin B12.(NINDS, Peripheral Neuropathy) Keep a dated note of symptoms and medicines for your clinician.

FAQ01
FlowNerves questions people ask
What would count as proof that FlowNerves works?
A controlled trial of the finished capsule, with a placebo group and a measured outcome. We found no such trial.
Why do alpha lipoic acid trials disagree?
They differed in length, dose and patients, and the longest trial missed its main goal.
Could something other than the capsule explain a change?
Yes. Symptoms vary, medicines and diet change, and hope colors how we feel.
Is a missing study the same as proof it fails?
No. It means the question is unanswered, which is why this site avoids both promises and warnings it cannot back.
